Copyright and Licenses
URPX (Utility Rate Plan Exchange) is an open standard developed by the URPX Working Group under LF Energy Standards and Specifications. The standard's files are published in the urpx repository.

Licenses by file category
Three licenses apply, by the kind of file:
- Specification files, the ontology, the SHACL shapes, the SKOS mappings and the documentation pages on this site, are licensed under the W3C Software Notice and Document License (W3C-20150513).
- Dataset files, the test-case data and index files, are licensed under the Community Data License Agreement - Permissive 2.0 (CDLA-Permissive-2.0).
- Source code and meta files are licensed under the Apache License, Version 2.0.
The repository's NOTICE file states these terms and lists the third-party content the test cases include: published utility tariff documents and rate data from Pacific Gas and Electric Company and Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc., which are public records and are not subject to the URPX copyright. The URPX authors make no warranty regarding the accuracy, completeness, or currency of those documents.
Every file in the repository carries its license as an SPDX identifier, in a header or in REUSE.toml.
